Olive Mom!!! Mother’s Day Brunch
One of our favorites at del Piero
Remind Mom why you are her favorite by bringing her out to the Olive Mill for a unique Mother’s Day brunch. Mom can enjoy one of our Eggs Benedict topped with our Signature Hollandaise sauce, sweet Roma tomatoes, and garden fresh basil ($8.99), or anything else from our Tuscan inspired menu. With every mom’s order, we will present her with a chocolate covered strawberry. It’s our little way of thanking her for being the best. While at the Olive Mill, treat mom to one of our champagne mimosas, or a glass of one of our house wine (choose either for $6.49). Stroll in the grove and reminisce. Enjoy live music provided by the always entertaining Harry Mathews, and spend some quality time with the only person allowed to touch your face after licking her thumb.

Wine Tasting: Hinnant Family Vineyards: When we are little we all dream of living and playing in a land of wonder & magic! The Hinnant kids were no exception! Although their dream came true long after their childhood had come and gone. In 1971 Jacqueline (Jackie), Freddie, Douglas and Willard started making their dream world a reality. Who knew that this kingdom being built in eastern Johnston County would mean a lifetime of sweaty brows, sunburned necks and purple fingers! In the early days the work was all done by hand. Mrs. Freddie remembers being on her knees planting grapes from morning until the full\moon was shining bright overhead! Freddie’s husband, Glen, had the honor of being the original knight of the Hinnant kingdom. He was the vineyard manager that watched over the vineyard while the others maintained their jobs as, a teacher, dentist, book keeper and carpenter. Though they would always come back to the vineyard and see their creation, this land of the great Muscadine! As the seasons change so does the path of life.
Product Tasting: Laura’s Granola: Like so many great innovations, Laura’s Gourmet Granola developed as a response to satisfy a need. Chef Laura believed a good granola should be healthy without compromising taste, crunchy without scraping the mouth, and chewy without hurting the teeth.
