Festival of the New Oil
We all know that olive oil is said to be the healthiest of all oils. We know it to be put in vinaigrettes, cooking recipes, or just amazing dipping oil for artisan bread. Its nutty, yet fruity flavor is delicious and you definitely should stock up for the year! Celebrate Olio Nuovo the ‘new oil’ at the Queen Creek Olive Mill. Enjoy wine and product tasting along with live music every Saturday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM for the duration of the festival. Sundays they still offer wine and product tasting without the live music, so Saturday is the perfect day to visit for the entire experience. Tour the Mill and learn about Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and bring your out-of-town guests for a tour and lunch at Del Piero their Tuscan inspired eatery. During the festival they will be releasing their limited collection of Private Press Extra Virgin Olive Oils. It is the perfect time to pick the freshest olive oil of the season, so skip your supermarket brands and visit Queen Creek Olive Mill. Their hours for the festival are 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with a $5 cover charge. Hurry though! The festival ends February 20th.
