Decades of aging give our barrel aged balsamic from Modena, Italy, its exceptional flavor. Trebbiano grapes are slowly cooked in copper cauldrons, reducing it to a syrup. Then combined with older balsamic vinegar to help speed the acidification process and transferred to oak barrels, which infuse it with the wood's aroma. The result is an intensely flavorful syrup with a subtle balance of sharp aromatic flavors. It's perfect for making salad dressings, pouring over grilled meats and vegetables, or mixing with extra-virgin olive oil as a dip for crusty bread.
